Dmitry specializes in legal support of bilateral and syndicated lending, structured finance and debt restructuring under Russian and foreign law. Dmitry has experience in supporting syndicated loans for the purposes of debt refinancing, working capital financing, project and pre-export financing on the side of the lender, arranger, agent and security agent.

Moreover, Dmitry participated in the Committee on Syndicated Lending under the Association of Regional Banks of Russia and was involved in drafting of the standard form of syndicated facility agreement under Russian law.

Dmitry's experience includes legal support of complex restructuring of debts of large Russian companies both on the side of debtors and on the side of creditors. Dmitry also has experience advising debtors on attracting financing in various forms for the purposes of debt refinancing.

Particularly Dmitry participated in the following projects:

  • complex debt restructuring (with the involvement of the state guarantee) of one of the largest Russian airline companies, including through refinancing of the debt portfolio with two syndicated loan facilities and provision of a cancellation compensation to the bondholders;
  • debt restructuring of the fuel group through refinancing of the debt portfolio to the banks with a syndicated loan facility;
  • arranging mezzanine financing and loans from several Russian banks and a loan from the Russian investment fund for the purposes of refinancing of debt of a large Russian IT company.
